September 14, 2026. – New York City lovers of World Music take note: Croatian singer/songwriter Elis Lovrić makes her US debut in the city with a special concert performance and an evening of Croatian art house film on October 10, curated by Bronx World Film, followed by a concert at Drom on October 11 and participation in the Mondo.NYC Conference from October 13-16. Stay tuned for a full report on our 9th Summer Cycle, which brought 14 films by 16 directors from 11 countries to parks across The Bronx, many in their US and NYC premieres. This is our “roving cinémathèque,” the summer event we started in 2017 inspired on our flagship Bronx World Film Cycle, Winter version. We look forward to sharing the memories of our struggles and rewards as we continue to forge our path forward as the pioneer art house film presenter of The Bronx.
This spring we broke new ground as the first Bronx-based film organization to be featured guest on Frame by Frame, CUNY-TV’s new broadcast programme that celebrates local film festivals, filmmakers and presenters.
Produced by José Luis Orbegozo, the team at Frame by Frame has chosen a selection of films from our catalogue to screen on their YouTube and streaming platform, and produced two 30-minute specials hosted by Executive Director Walter Krochmal and spotlighting three directors. These remain online in their archive.
