13 films from 12 countries screen in parks and other venues across The Bronx, many in their US and NYC premieres.This is the borough’s first “roving cinémathèque,” started in 2017 and based on our flagship Bronx World Film Cycle. This summer in its ninth season it offers the best of all worlds for all ages.
This spring we broke new ground as the first Bronx-based film organization to be featured guest on Frame by Frame, CUNY-TV’s new broadcast programme that celebrates local film festivals, filmmakers and presenters.
Produced by José Luis Orbegozo, the team at Frame by Frame has chosen a selection of films from our catalogue to screen on their YouTube and streaming platform, and produced two 30-minute specials hosted by Executive Director Walter Krochmal and spotlighting three directors. These remain online in their archive.
